Christopher Austin Olivier, Licensed Health Insurance Agent

Who writes this

Christopher Austin Olivier, working as Austin Olivier, is a licensed health insurance agent based in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Florida. The resident licence is a Florida 0215 Life, Health and Variable Contracts Agent licence, number G153522, and there are non-resident licences in 32 other states. Every number is published on the licensing page.

That matters more in this category than in most. Health insurance is what search engineers call a your-money-or-your-life topic, and a great deal of what ranks for these questions is written by people who have never completed a Form 8962 or sat with someone working out whether they can afford to retire at 62. This site is written by someone who does that for a living.

How this site is built

  • Every figure is sourced. Not to another blog, but to the IRS revenue procedure, the CMS payment parameters guidance, the Federal Register, CMS enrollment data, or KFF. The sources are listed at the bottom of each page with links.
  • Estimates are labelled as estimates. The calculator distinguishes explicitly between the parts that are exact arithmetic and the parts that depend on premiums that are not yet approved.
  • Uncertainty is stated. The January 15 enrollment deadline is under appeal. The 2027 rates are proposals. Several 2027 marketplace rules have been struck down and are being appealed. All of that is on the pages rather than buried.
  • Figures are dated at the source. Every number is footnoted to a dated primary document. In a year when Congress could restore the enhanced credits at any moment, an undated claim is not trustworthy.

How this is paid for

When someone enrolls in a plan through this agency, the insurance carrier pays a commission. That commission is set by the carrier and built into the premium; it does not increase what you pay, and you would not save money by enrolling somewhere else.

Two honest limits follow from that. No agent holds appointments with every carrier in every state, so the set of plans that can be offered to you is not the entire market. And an agent is paid when a policy is placed, which is a real incentive worth knowing about. The response to both is the same: you get told plainly when the answer is that you should do something other than buy a policy here.

What you can expect on a call

  • The real benchmark premium for your county, not a state average.
  • An honest read on whether you are near the subsidy cliff and what to do about it.
  • A network and formulary check against the doctors and prescriptions you actually use, before any discussion of price.
  • A straight answer when the best available option is an employer plan, a spouse’s plan, COBRA, or Medicaid, none of which pay a commission.
  • A referral if your state is not one of the 33 listed.

Verifying any of this

Take the National Producer Number, 21299672, to the National Insurance Producer Registry or to your own state department of insurance. Both will confirm the licence status and lines of authority independently of anything said here. This is worth doing for any agent you speak to, not only this one.

The other half of the market

This site covers ACA Marketplace coverage. Private plans outside the Marketplace are a different animal — medically underwritten, often cheaper for healthy households, and with their own trade-offs. Austin Olivier runs a second site dedicated to exactly that: PrivateHealthCoverage.io. If your situation points that way, the same agent answers the phone at both.
